Coaching Staff

Nikaylen Morrison enters his first season as Field Manager of the Nacogdoches Niners bringing a strong background in professional playing experience, collegiate coaching, and elite player development. A graduate of Central Baptist College with a degree in Kinesiology–Exercise Science, Morrison competed as a first baseman and outfielder while also gaining professional experience with the Lake Erie Crushers (Frontier League) and the Texarkana Twins (Pecos League).
Following his playing career, Morrison worked with the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (TripleA affiliate of the Houston Astros) and has held coaching roles at Wiley University and Southern Arkansas University Tech. He also served as a Head Coach at the Texas Rangers Youth Academy, focusing on skill development, performance analysis, and mentoring athletes ages 9–18.
A graduate of Major League Baseball’s Diversity Pipeline Scout Development Program and a recipient of a Texas Rangers 2023 World Series ring, Morrison is known for his player-first approach and commitment to developing athletes on and off the field.
